Footnotes
STICK TALK broke alertly, vied for the early lead then stalked the pace from the inside, well placed into the turn, took command nearing the quarter marker, lost the lead to HOLY WARRIOR into upper stretch, came again into the final furlong, dug in to the final sixteenth and held late over the oncoming runner-up. DOCKSIDE close up to the early pace while outside of rivals, chased five wide into the turn, shifted to the four path to upper stretch, finished well to the final sixteenth, couldn't quite catch the runner-up in deep stretch but bested the rest for the place honors. HOLY WARRIOR hustled between rivals early, raced close up to the pace along the backstretch, was caught in tight between foes approaching the turn, shifted to three path into the bend, vied for the lead at the quarter marker then took command to upper stretch, dueled STICK TALK into the final furlong, was turned away by the winner into the final sixteenth, flattened out in the late stages and was outkicked for the place, while clear of the rest for the show. SIR ANGELUS broke out at the start, hustled to be forwardly placed early on while between foes, chased four wide into the turn, lost ground nearing the top of the lane, was widest to upper stretch, made a mild late rally but couldn't impact the leaders into the final sixteenth. ETRUSCAN WARRIOR broke in then bumped hard at the start and was last away from the gate, saved ground into the turn, kept an inside path to the stretch and failed to threaten. DANCING JON hopped at the start and was a step slow leaving the gate, rushed up between foes then took early command, showed the way to the turn while off of the rail, overtaken along the bend, couldn't find more to the stretch drive and tired in the lane. FIREFINCH settled outside of runners early, outrun into the turn, eased through the stretch and walked off.
