CALATHEA set the pace on the inside, shook free at the quarter pole, responded when roused, dug in gamely inside of CITY MINUTE, drifted out through the final furlong and held on gamely for the win. CITY MINUTE tracked on the inside, saved ground waiting for room on the far turn, angled out at the top of the lane, rallied outside of CALATHEA, was floated out in the stretch run and dug in gamely outside to the finish. DEFIANT LASS raced two wide off the pace, chased inside on the turn, angled out four wide turning for home and rallied mildly. LINDSAY SMILES stalked close up two wide, bid on the far turn, weakened in the lane and held for fourth. SPICY PRINCESS raced three wide early, settled off the pace, chased three wide on the far turn, came six wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. NORTH END LADY raced off the pace, swung seven wide turning for home and failed to rally. SIMPLY STRIKING raced three wide early, stalked two wide, chased on the far turn, came five wide into the lane and tired. SHE PROSPERS raced off the pace inside, chased and tired. After a Jockey Objection by the rider of CITY MINUTE against the winner, the race was declared official.
