GARRINCHA rated off of the early pace, loomed four wide nearing the quarter marker, vied for the lead to mid-stretch, turned away AIR FORCE ROYALTY into the final sixteenth and kicked clear late. AIR FORCE ROYALTY set pace to upper stretch, met the bid of GARRINCHA to the furlong grounds, was no match late for the winner and was second best. DOUBLE EIGHT tracked inside, waited for racing room at the quarter marker then angled out to upper stretch, was outkicked in the late stages and was clear for third. THEO'S THUNDER settled outside of rivals, coaxed three to four wide to the stretch, passed tired foes late. LAO WAY bobbled start, inside gain to mid-stretch, weakened. VALID SENSE close up to the early pace, stalked two to three wide to quarter pole, gave way. JIMBO BAILEY settled, coaxed between two to three wide, empty stretch.
