IRISH ADIEU broke sharply and set the pace then was headed nearing the 1/4 pole but dug in and opened back up, drawing clear nearing the wire. JEAN LAFFITE rated in the second flight early while under a tight hold behind horses nearing the 1/2 pole then waited through the turn before angling three wide into the lane and ran on late for place. I'M A GUNNER raced close up early and pressed the pace, battled the leader to the 1/4 pole then couldn't go on with that one and was caught late for place. KING MORPHEUS missed the break and then moved up early to challenge the leaders, was asked while five wide into the turn and made a bid but faltered into the stretch. E Z SHOPPING was void of early speed and saved ground but was never a factor.
