Footnotes
MY RICH UNCLE hopped start, settled while saving ground to the backstretch, angled three wide into the far turn then loomed at the quarter marker, took command into the stretch and held sway in the late stages. HOTTER THAN DEM tracked inside while well placed to the far turn, got caught in traffic and waited for racing room at the quarter marker, angled out into upper stretch, could not reel in the winner late and was second best. ROAD MISCHIEF prompted pace to far turn, outkicked to upper stretch, could not make headway on the leading pair late and held safely for third. DEEP STAR unhurried to backstretch, coaxed four to five wide for the drive, offered a mild late bid. TORONJA settled mid-pack, chased four to five wide into the far turn, needed more in the stretch and passed tiring rivals late. TACITAP showed speed, set pace to far turn, gave way stretch. DIXIE ON FIRE well placed two to three wide to far turn, was caught in traffic between foes nearing the quarter pole, lacked a response to upper stretch and tired. CANDY ROAD tracked outside first turn, tucked in and chased to the backstretch then was done after the half. KUNG FOO allowed to settle, dropped back along the backstretch, was eased to the wire and walked off.
