SLEW LADY took early command then backed down the pace into the backstretch, set modest fractions to the second turn, kicked clear into the stretch, wandered out into the final furlong but held sway to the final sixteenth and maintained a clear lead to the wire. DOROTHY broke out at the start, settled inside, saved ground to the second turn, tipped out upper stretch, chased the winner into the final furlong, couldn't make headway late on SLEW LADY and held for second. BABY MASHA took back, coaxed outside of runners to the backstretch, gained ground three to four wide into the far turn, outkicked in the drive, kept on late and just missed for second, while clear of the rest for third. STRAIGHT TO JAIL forwardly placed, tracked two to three wide to the half-mile marker, chased to the far turn, weakened stretch. IRISH TALE lost her path at the start, settled to the backstretch, lacked the needed response into the far turn and trailed throughout.
