Footnotes
DEEP STAR was well rated down the backstretch then launched a three wide bid around the final turn to take command at the top of the stretch and drew off to prove best. STAR PRINCE stalked the pace from the inside down the backstretch then angled off the rail to make a late run at the leader but was no match for the winner and was clearly second best. DAVID PEPPERMAN bobbled after leaving the starting gate then raced five wide into the first turn and continued on to take a clear lead into the backstretch, held that position to midway through the final turn before being collared near the top of the stretch but kept on and held the show. JUSTIN SMILES raced off the pace from three wide down the backstretch then moved up on the final turn but lacked the late response needed. HARD TALK was unhurried down the backstretch then made a mild three wide bid on the final turn but was not a factor. POLIZON tracked the leader from off the rail down the backstretch then retreated. GOLD RULES raced four wide into the first turn then chased the leader from three or four wide down the backstretch and gave way on the final turn. CHIMUELO was allowed to settle while saving ground to no avail.
