Footnotes
THEO'S THUNDER saved ground while tracking from the inside into the turn, angled off of the fence then swung widest for the stretch drive, made a sustained rally to the final sixteenth and got up in time for a determined win. MILAZZO off a step slow leaving the start, raced a bit in tight while between runners in the early stages, angled four wide along the turn then loomed nearing the quarter marker, took command into the stretch and led to the final sixteenth, was all out in deep stretch then was nailed in the final strides for the win, while holding safely for second. AIR FORCE ROYALTY took early command, set a modest pace to the quarter marker, was overtaken to upper stretch but fought on into the final furlong, battled to the final sixteenth then was outkicked late and held safely for third. STARSHIP MAGELLAN close up to the early pace, stalked two to three wide and between foes into the turn, chased to mid-stretch and could not muster the needed late response. JIMBO BAILEY chased the early pace three wide and between rivals, lost position into the turn and tired in stretch drive.
