JUST A PHILLY sent for the early lead, set a contested pace to the quarter marker, met the bid of FOGGY NOTE into the final furlong, gamely dug in into the final sixteenth and held in deep stretch for a determined win. FOGGY NOTE settled just off of the early pace, got caught a bit in tight approaching the turn and steadied at the seven-sixteenths marker, angled out and rallied six wide to upper stretch, vied for the lead into the final sixteenth, was denied for the win in deep stretch and bested the rest in a good effort. VIVI GET YOUR GUNS bobbled at the start and was off slowly, saved ground into the turn then rallied along the rail into the stretch, could not reel in the top pair into the final sixteenth but was able to get up for third in the final strides. CARROLL'S HONOR raced close up to the early pace, saved ground into the turn, tipped two to three wide to upper stretch, bid into the final furlong then was outkicked in deep stretch and just missed for third. ATALANTA ALEXANDRA settled off of the early pace while never far back, angled five wide to upper stretch, lacked the needed late response and finished evenly in the final stages. GIRVIN STAR tracked the early pace from the outside, bid four wide to upper stretch, could not sustain that run to the final sixteenth and flattened out late. OLGA settled off of the early pace, roused six wide to upper stretch, failed to threaten in the late stages. ROYAL POPPY raced close up to the early pace, chased four wide into the turn, ran in pursuit three wide into the stretch, could not find a response into the final furlong and gave way. EVANORA rated off of the early pace, coaxed two wide to upper stretch, no factor late. BEE A QUEEN settled off of the early pace, coaxed four wide to the stretch, no late impact. TIMELY REWARD off step slow, hustled to be prominent early, pressed the pace two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace to upper stretch and faded in the drive.
