SPY NOVEL prominent away from the start, assumed command into the backstretch, set a modest pace to the quarter marker, kicked clear into the stretch then drew off while ridden out late and won as much the best. BELLY OF JELLY settled in the second flight, asked for run three to four wide to upper stretch, was no match for the winner into the final sixteenth and outfinished the rest to earn the place honors. IRONSIDES prominent early, tracked the modest pace to the far turn then chased SPY NOVEL into the stretch, could not keep pace with the winner into the final furlong and was outfinished for second, while just holding for third. DRUNKEN SAILOR led into the first turn, ceded the front to SPY NOVEL and tracked from the inside up the backstretch, chased to the quarter marker then angled four to five wide into upper stretch, lacked the needed response into the late stages and just missed for the minor awards. CLEAR DESTINATION a step slow away from the start, was allowed to settle in the early stages, saved ground to the far turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch and lacked a final response. IRIDEO (ARG) settled while saving ground in the early stages, shifted out and chased three wide to the quarter marker then could not muster the needed late response. FLAT TOP BOX tracked the early pace four deep into the first turn, chased the modest pace to the far turn, was outkicked into upper stretch and gave way in the final furlong. INITFORTHELOVE lunged at the start and was off a bit slowly, keen into the first turn, settled while widest up the backstretch, ran in pursuit five then six wide along the far turn and did not mount a late response.
