AFTER PARTY sent to assume early command, set a moderate pace to the quarter marker, kicked clear into the stretch, kept to task to the final sixteenth and was ridden out late to win as much the best. STAR OF THE GUN tracked the early pace from the inside, was caught a bit in tight between rivals into the turn, angled three wide for the stretch drive, was no match for the winner into the final furlong and got up in deep stretch to earn the place honors. GOLDEN AMBITION hopped at the start and a step slow away from the gate, was hustled to be prominent early on and chased from the inside into the turn, was outkicked by the winner into the stretch, could not find the needed late response and was outfinished for second, while well clear of the rest for third. TECHNO MUSIC broke alertly, ceded the early lead and stalked three wide to the turn, chased to mid-stretch then weakened in the final furlong. THREE CHEERS rated off of the early pace, chased three wide to the quarter marker, could not keep pace to upper stretch and gave way. GIGLINE settled off of the early pace, trailed into the turn then was coaxed four to five wide into upper stretch, lacked a response in the lane and did not threaten in the final furlong. CAMPANERIS settled outside of runners in the early stages, coaxed three wide into upper stretch, no factor late. ILLUSTRATION allowed to settle away from the start, took up between rivals on the run up the backstretch, recovered and chased from the inside into the turn, could not find a response into the stretch and came up empty in the final furlong.
