Footnotes
TICKING showed good speed away from the gate and was sent to the early lead, set a prompted pace to the half-mile marker, lost the lead nearing the far turn, came again into upper stretch then took command at the furlong grounds, dug in into the final sixteenth and kept to task late for a game win. BAYTOWN PARFAIT pulled on the rider into the first turn, raced close up to the pace while four then three wide to the backstretch, stalked the decent pace to the far turn then vied for the lead nearing the quarter pole, battled three wide to mid-stretch, was outfinished in the final sixteenth and was clear of the rest for second. SALVATTORE PRINCE settled off of the early pace while never far back, saved ground along the backstretch then into the far turn, chased to the furlong grounds, could not reel in the leading pair into the final sixteenth but was able to get up in time for third. GUILDENSTERN (IRE) off a step slow to begin, settled in mid-pack then was well placed nearing the half-mile marker, chased three to four wide and between rivals nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit to mid-stretch then was outkicked in the final sixteenth. LIGHT FURY hustled away from the start, was prominent to the first turn then stalked the pace to the backstretch, took command nearing the far turn, led to upper stretch then was overtaken nearing the furlong grounds, could not find a response into the final sixteenth and faded. HONESTO unhurried in the early going, advanced two wide into the far turn, chased from the inside into upper stretch then did not offer a late response. REMERTON settled off of the early pace, was well placed to the half-mile pole, chased two to three wide and between foes nearing the quarter marker, was outkicked to upper stretch then gave way in the lane. TAPIT THREE TIMES squeezed at the start and off a step slowly, rushed up into the first turn then chased the pace while widest along the backstretch, ran in pursuit four wide into the far turn, chased to mid-stretch and could not muster the needed late response. SPY HUNTER prominent early, raced in tight into the first turn then steadied approaching the run into the backstretch, was well placed to the half-mile marker, chased four to five wide to the quarter marker, could not keep pace into upper stretch and tired in the final furlong. SILENT AND VIOLENT settled off of the early pace, trailed to the quarter marker and did not threaten in the late stages.
