Footnotes
DARLING DARLEY rated just off of the early pace, was well placed to the turn, mounted an inside rally to upper stretch, battled MIGUEL'S BELLE to the final sixteenth, turned away the game runner-up late and edged away to prove best. MIGUEL'S BELLE set pressured pace off of the rail, met the bid of DARLING DARLEY into upper stretch, gamely battled that foe to the final sixteenth, was outfinished in deep stretch and was a clear second. STAR OF SATURN settled off of the early pace, urged along two wide to upper stretch, closed into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the top pair late and gained third. FOXY LADY contested the early pace from between runners, pressed three wide to stretch, yielded in the final furlong and was outfinished for third. SHE'S A JOY off a bit slow to begin and unhurried in the early stages, angled three wide to upper stretch, gained to mid-stretch then flattened out in the final sixteenth. PACIFIC PRINCESS forwardly placed in the early going, took back approaching the turn, chased three wide and between rivals nearing the quarter marker then could not muster the needed response in the stretch. DRILL'S VALENTINE settled off of the early pace, saved ground to the stretch then did not threaten in the late stages. AMY THE BUTCHER contested the early pace three to four wide, lost position into the turn, was eased through the stretch and walked off.
