Footnotes
MCMULLEN showed good speed, assumed early command and set a pressured pace into the turn, repelled ENZITO to upper stretch and kicked clear to the furlong grounds, kept to task to the final sixteenth, had the lead cut into in the late stages but held sway to the wire under steady urging. LAST BOTTLE a step slow away from the start, made a sustained inside bid to the stretch, was gaining late, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was second best. DEVILMENT settled early, shifted three wide to upper stretch, needed more to the final sixteenth but was able to close in deep stretch and got up in time for the show honors. QUEENS DIPLOMAT chased the early pace from the inside, angled four wide to upper stretch then was outkicked in the final sixteenth, just missing for third. ENZITO pressed the early pace two wide and between rivals, kept close attendance to MCMULLEN to the quarter marker, was turned away into upper stretch, chased MCMULLEN to the furlong grounds then faded in the late stages. FLYING ASH settled off of the early pace, swung five to six wide to upper stretch, no late response. LET LOOSE LOUIE rated off of the early pace, coaxed four wide to the stretch, no threat late. ORO ROSO was prominent early on, chased three wide to the turn, was outkicked to upper stretch and tired in the lane.
