ZIRZOP unhurried to be the trailer in the compact field into the turn, rallied six wide circling the field, rallied steadily in the lane, was bumped in mid-stretch as STAN THEMAN MUSIAL was crowded by the pacesetter into this one and finished willingly to be up in time. MARC KENTUCKY (ARG) was well rated while setting the pace under mild pressure, responded when challenged turning for home, bore out several paths under left-handed urging into STAN THEMAN MUSIAL, squeezing that one out after causing him to bump the winner, straightened away to run-on surrendering the lead near the wire. STAR OF THE GUN tracked the leaders to the top of the lane, rallied up the rail clear of the trouble in mid-stretch and was along for the show. STAN THEMAN MUSIAL broke inward bumping rival leaving the gate, was reserved off the lead while pulling down the backstretch five wide, rallied steadily to prominence through the turn, gaining between rivals five wide when bumped hard and squeezed back by the runner up and kept-on after having lost all chance at the eighth pole. VOL DU CONDOR bumped leaving the gate, raced up to stalk the pace for a half mile, rallied to threaten nearing the quarter pole and flattened out in the stretch. MOSAI prompted the pace for a half and gave way. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY AND THE RIDERS OF MARC KENTUCKY AND STAN THEMAN MUSIAL CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH INVOLVING BOTH OF THEM AND THE WINNER, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED MARC KENTUCKY FROM SECOND TO FOURTH FOR BEARING OUT INTO STAN THEMAN MUSIAL AND FOUND THE WINNER TO BE BLAMELESS.
