DAVID PEPPERMAN was slow early to race at the rear of the field, picked up momentum down the backstretch, circled with an early, strong bid on the far turn to take command turning for home and kicked away in the lane unthreatened. SKY MASTERSON stalked the pace to the far turn, rallied to engage the leader midway on the bend, was no match for the winner turning for home and ran-on willingly to hold the place. SPONGE TIME rated in mid-pack down the backside, continued to track through the turn, rallied in upper stretch and was grinding in the lane to slowly be gaining for the place. PARDO tracked the leaders through the first turn, lost position fading to near the rear for the next half mile and re-bid coming hme to be along late. SMOOTH AN EASY trailed most of the way and showed some late interest passing weaker. TONYTONE made a middle move down the backside to be prominently placed turning for home and failed to sustain the bid in the stretch. MY FOOLISH NOTION went evenly failing to menace. CHALKY WHITE set a fast pace on a clear lead, widened the advantage down the backstretch while still going quickly and gave way turning for home. ROCKAZO prompted the fast pace in the first turn, settled to stalk off the run away pacesetter on the backstretch and was through early.
