MITZMAN trakced the leaders from five wide down the backstretch, commenced a steady advance on the far turn to prominence turning for home took command in mid-stretch going clear and held the closer safe in the final sixteenth. COLONEL DUKE took a misstep leaving the gate to be squezzed out dropping to the rear, moved to mid-pack jalong the rail just behind the leaders through the far turn while well in hand, swung out five wide to rally in the stretch and mounted a good gain to be second best while lugging-in down the lane. IT'S ON MY HONOR set a well rated pace on a well mesured lead to the top of the lane and was outkicked in the final furlong while weakening. ETRUSCAN WARRIOR raced up from between rivals down the backstretch with an early bid to stalk th pacesetter, emerged at the head ofthe tracking trio to loom nearing the quarter pole and flattened out unable to sustain the rally finishing evenly in the stretch. GUNN ON THE RUN was reserved to race a the rear ofthe main body of tthe field to the far turn, dropped further from contention on the final bend and passed weaker rivals without impact late. CID CAMPEADOR bore out at the break giving several lengths to the field and was never a factor. FIGHT AND PRAY prompted the pace for a half mile and came up empty on the far turn.
