HAPPY MEMORIES tracked the leaders from striking distance racing four wide to the far turn, came under an early drive on the bend, rallied six wide at the top of the lane to wear the pacesetter down in mid-stretch taking command and held the closer safe in deep stretch. PARNASSUS slow early to be the trailer, circled the field on the final turn and rallied eight wide with a late surge to just miss. FLAMEFIRE reserved off the pace through the first turn, rallied up the fence approaching the far turn steadily gaining ground, waited for racing room, angled four wide to mount his bid for the drive, dove back to the inside for clear racing and finished well in a good effort. MARY'S MEMPHIS pressed the pace to the final turn, mounted a bid at the quarter pole to take command in upper stretch and was outkicked in the final furlong. LEX GO HONEY was unhurried to be near the rear ofthe field and rallied with good late interest to be gaining late. CAPTAIN KARTER set a quick early pace under steady pressure and had no answer when challenged at the top of the lane. VALEN TIME showed brief speed to be prominent in the early going and came up empty fading from contention. YASTRZEMSKI broke slowly to give the field several lengths, russhed up the inside into contention through the first turn and gave way on the far turn dropping to the rear.
