CALL ME ANGEL showed good speed away from the start, dueled for early pace duties outside of BELLA JAK, drifted out into the stretch and battled to the furlong marker, shook free into the final sixteenth then edged away in deep stretch. BELLA JAK showed good speed away from the start, dueled for early pace duties inside of CALL ME ANGEL, battled that rival into the stretch, grudgingly gave way into the final sixteenth and held for second. WHY settled in the second flight to begin, roused four wide at the quarter pole, raced on the left lead to mid-stretch, was gaining late and just missed for second, while well clear of the rest for third. SHINING AWAY chased the early pace from outside of rivals, ran in pursuit three wide into the turn, stayed on into the stretch then could not muster a late response. PERPLEXED tracked the early pace two wide and from between rivals, ran in pursuit to the quarter marker, could not find a response at mid-stretch and weakened late. ONTHEBLINK was squeezed at the start and off slowly, trailed to the quarter marker, swung out for the stretch drive and improved position late. PICHIRRE broke a bit awkwardly and was shuffled back at the start, chased two wide to upper stretch and did not offer a late response. ALWAYS IN PLAY forwardly placed in the early going, was well placed to the turn and tracked the pace from the inside heading to the quarter marker, lacked the needed response heading to the furlong grounds and gave way.
