Footnotes
DIME PAPI was squeezed at the start and away a step slowly, settled off of the early pace, advanced between rivals up the backstretch, angled three wide into the far turn and bid nearing the quarter marker, vied for the lead into upper stretch, bested the game runner-up into the final sixteenth then edged away late to prove best. ETON showed good speed away from the start, took early command and set a prompted pace up the backstretch, was confronted into the far turn then dug in while under pressure nearing the furlong grounds, battled past mid-stretch, lost the lead into the final sixteenth and held clearly in the end for second. THE GREAT OSCAR settled off of the early pace while never far back, chased four wide to the second turn, was outkicked to mid-stretch, ran on into the final sixteenth and held clearly for third. TRACKSTER raced close up to the early pace, stalked the pacesetter along the backstretch, went up to vie for the lead into the far turn, was outkicked to mid-stretch, could not sustain his run to the final sixteenth and flattened out in the late stages. SU DREAM raced in tight on the run to the first turn, settled then saved ground up the backstretch, chased into the far turn, angled four then five wide to upper stretch, ran in pursuit to the furlong grounds then could not muster a final response. TROOPS prominent early, rated just off of the early pace and saved ground into the first turn, was well placed up the backstretch, lost position into the far turn, lacked a response into upper stretch and weakened in the drive. BOBBY BOB a bit keen in the early going, settled off of the pace while never far back into the backstretch, chased the leaders to the second turn, could not find a response at the quarter pole and did not threaten in the stretch drive. GIURO forwardly placed into the first turn, tracked the pace two to three wide and between rivals up the backstretch, chased into the far turn, could not keep pace to upper stretch then gave way in the lane. PROUD AMERICAN took back off of the early pace, advanced while widest nearing the half-mile point, chased five wide into the far turn, could not keep pace to upper stretch and tired in the stretch drive.
