STICK TALK prompted the pace from four wide into the far turn, closed the gap with a steady bid and wore the leader down with a grinding rally in the lane while being carried out by that one. HOLY WARRIOR pulled to the lead from the rail up the backside to go clear after a half mile, maintained that advantage to upper stretch, drifted out through the lane and was overtaken in the final furlong settling for second best. SIR ANGELUS tracked the leader from afar through the final bend and rallied mildly in the lane for the show as best of the rest. SOUPER ATHLETE stalked the pace from well off the leaders down the backside, rallied briefly on the bend and flattened out finishing evenly. IOLANA flashed brief speed to be the early leader and faded from contention down the backside. HOT ROD failed to menace. AWESOME NOAH was not a factor. SLEW LADY was outrun.
