Footnotes
DRUM ROLL got caught in tight soon after the break and checked early on, recovered to the first turn and tracked the pace from the inside into the backstretch, made an inside bid to the quarter marker then kicked clear to mid-stretch, kept to task into the final sixteenth and held late over oncoming rivals. GUNESH broke alertly, showed good early speed and set the pace to the first turn, carved out moderate fractions while prompted to the second turn, was overtaken leaving the quarter marker, drifted out through the stretch but fought on into the final sixteenth, re-bid in deep stretch and won the nod for second. WORLD TRAVELER vied for the early lead then ceded the front and stalked the pace into the first turn, prompted the moderate pace to the far turn, vied three wide at the quarter pole then chased three to four wide to upper stretch, fought on through the lane, was outfinished for second and held at the wire for third. MOM'S MARTINI allowed to settle in the early going, advanced outside of rivals into the far turn, swung four wide for the stretch drive, got floated out into the final sixteenth, found her best stride late but could not reel in the leaders in deep stretch. MORE THAN GLORY a step slow away from the start, settled off of the early pace while not far back, saved ground to the second turn, maintained an inside path to the stretch, was gaining late but needed more in the final stages. FLORIBUNDA settled off of the early pace while four wide, raced widest up the backstretch, chased three wide into the far turn, ran in pursuit to mid-stretch and lacked the needed late response. MOBAY PRINCESS settled in the second flight to begin, was well placed to the half-mile pole, chased two wide and between rivals heading to the quarter marker, was outkicked to upper stretch and could not muster a final response.
