PEACETHRUSTRENGTH off slow leaving the start, settled while saving ground into the first turn, asked for run at the half-mile marker, advanced from the inside into the far turn, tipped out and loomed at the top of the lane, took command into the final furlong, wandered a bit while approaching the final sixteenth but drew clear in the end. SWEET LAZARUS showed early speed and contested the pace outside of rivals into the first turn, took command into the backstretch and carved out decent fractions heading to the half-mile marker, showed the way to the quarter pole, was overtaken by the winner into upper stretch, could not match strides with PEACETHRUSTRENGTH late and was second best. LEROY BROWN broke alertly and contested the pace to the first turn, ceded the front into the backstretch and stalked the decent pace from the inside heading to the half-mile point, angled out along the far turn and chased three wide to the stretch, was outkicked in the drive and held late for third. DEVILMENT unhurried in the early going, asked for run four wide at the quarter marker, swung five wide for the drive and passed tiring rivals in the stretch. GREAT HUNT settled in the second flight to begin, chased the decent pace four wide to the half-mile marker, ran in pursuit three wide to the quarter pole, was outkicked to upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. SHOW BOAT raced close up to the early pace, took back and tracked three wide into the backstretch, ran in pursuit three to four wide nearing the top of the lane, could not find a response to mid-stretch and tired.
