Footnotes
PROST broke alertly and showed good speed away from the start, took early command then showed the way to the quarter marker, kicked clear to upper stretch and was set down into the final furlong, drew off into the final sixteenth, was kept to task to deep stretch and won as the rider pleased. TEDDY BEAR pulled on the rider while a bit keen in the early going, was forwardly placed while inside of runners heading to the turn, chased from the inside along the bend then tipped out for the stretch drive, was no match for the winner into the lane but fought on well late to earn the place honors. STAR OF THE GUN tucked in just behind the early leaders, swung out and chased the pace three wide along the turn, could not keep pace with the winner into the stretch, battled TEDDY BEAR to the final sixteenth and was outfinished by that rival for the place honors, while clear of the rest for the show. DR. JEKYLL broke in the air at the start and was off slowly, chased the pace three to four wide to the quarter marker, could not find the needed response into the stretch and passed tiring rivals late. OTHER LEVEL hopped at the start and off a bit slowly, allowed to settle, chased four to five wide to the quarter marker, swung six wide for the stretch drive, lacked the needed late response but improved position in the final stages. MACHO ABARRIO settled and saved ground in the early stages, angled three to four wide to upper stretch, did not rally into the final furlong and failed to threaten. MAGIC SOLAR vied for the early lead, ceded the front then stalked the pace three wide into the turn, lost position leaving the quarter pole and tired in the stretch drive. CADEMAN prominent away from the start, pressed the early pace between rivals, lost position along the turn, could not keep pace into upper stretch and weakened in the drive. AD MAJORA hopped then was squeezed at the start and was off slowly, lacked early speed, saved ground to the quarter marker then did not factor in the stretch drive. NICKEL C settled off of the early pace, was guided three to four wide along the turn, lacked a response to upper stretch and did not make an impact in the final stages.
