Footnotes
CANDY BUZZ vied for the early lead away from the start, took command and set a contested pace heading into the turn, showed the way to upper stretch then met the bid of VUELA PALOMA at the furlong grounds, dug in while holding that rival at bay into the final sixteenth and determinedly lasted for the win at the wire. VUELA PALOMA broke in at the start and bothered inner rivals, settled just off of the early pace, navigated traffic along the turn then bid two wide and between rivals to upper stretch, rallied into the final furlong, battled gamely to deep stretch and just missed for the win, while besting the rest. GOSHAKI GOSHAKI tracked the early pace while widest up the backstretch, advanced five wide nearing the quarter marker, maintained a wide path into the lane, flattened out in the drive but fought on late to earn the show honors. BIANKA HEART pinched at the start, guided five then six wide to upper stretch, offered a mild late rally and was outfinished for third. STUBOLD was squeezed then took up at the start and was off slowly, advanced two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, chased the leaders to mid-stretch, could not find the needed late response and finished evenly. SHANCELICIOUS hustled away from the start, pressed the early pace two to three wide and between rivals, vied for the lead at the quarter marker, was outkicked into the final furlong and faded in the late stages. LONG GONE SALLY raced close up to the early pace while inside of runners, shuffled back a bit entering the turn, chased from the rail to upper stretch, could not find a response into the final furlong and gave way. BELLE OF THE SOUTH tracked the early pace four wide, ran in pursuit between rivals nearing the quarter marker, was outkicked to upper stretch then weakened in the final furlong.
