Footnotes
PARDO was forwardly placed while widest up the backstretch, stalked the decent pace to the quarter pole, loomed to upper stretch then confronted FINDING CANDY at the furlong marker, battled that rival past mid-stretch then drifted in a bit at the sixteenth-pole, took command into deep stretch and drew clear in the final stages. LANGVAD settled off of the early pace, roused four to five wide to upper stretch, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner into deep stretch but got up in time to earn the place honors. FINDING CANDY bumped with inner rival then hustled away from the start, assumed early command and set the pace into the turn, drew to a clear lead nearing the quarter marker and showed the way to upper stretch, confronted by PARDO at the furlong pole, met that rival's bid then got caught in tight entering the final sixteenth, yielded to the winner in deep stretch, was nailed in the final strides for second and just held for third at the wire. SIMO AT THE BIG A broke alertly and vied for the early lead, took back and stalked the pace from the inside up the backstretch, was caught in tight approaching the turn and checked at the seven-sixteenths marker, ran on and saved ground to the stretch, re-rallied into the final furlong and came up just short of the minor awards. SELF LOADER forwardly placed in the early going, took back into the turn, tracked two wide along the bend, was outrun to the quarter marker, saved ground to the stretch and offered a mild late response. KAZOOZA was close up to the early pace while racing a bit greenly, chased from the two path into the turn, angled three wide to upper stretch then flattened out in the stretch drive. WITCHA WISH lacked early speed, trailed into the turn and did not factor in the stretch drive.
