IBRAHIMOVIC broke sharply and took early command, set a modest pace while prompted up the backstretch, lost the lead to IRONSIDES at the quarter marker, came again and re-gained the lead into the stretch, drew clear into the final furlong and proved best under firm late urging. JUNCTION ROAD allowed to settle in the early stages, trailed into the far turn then swung widest for the stretch drive, could not reel in the winner into the final sixteenth but finished well and got up in time to earn the place. LIGHTS OF BROADWAY settled between rivals into the first turn, never far back heading to the half-mile pole, advanced two wide into the far turn, chased three wide to upper stretch, could not find more into the final sixteenth, was tagged late for second and just held for third at the wire. IRONSIDES tracked the early pace three then four wide, loomed into the far turn then took a narrow lead nearing the quarter marker, lost the lead into upper stretch, was outkicked to the furlong grounds and yielded in deep stretch. PARIS SURPRISE allowed to settle early, raced widest to the half-mile marker, advanced four wide nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit into the stretch, could not muster the needed late response and finished evenly. BRIGADE COMMANDER sent to be forwardly placed in the early stages, stalked the modest pace along the backstretch, pressed the pace between rivals into the far turn, lost position into upper stretch then gave way in the drive. SAMBURU (GB) settled just behind the early leaders and saved ground into the first turn, tracked the moderate pace up the backstretch, saved all of the ground into the far turn, could not find a response into upper stretch and weakened in the lane.
