Footnotes
CLASSIC EQUATION quickly found forward placement three wide, was cued around the three-eighths marker and quickly overtook the previous pace-setter, entered the lane with a clear advantage and was kept on task to hold off any late challengers. MALBEC was bumped outward at the start, raced off the pace four wide, began asking inside the half-mile marker and advanced through the far turn, continued his drive along the outside of the stretch, rubbing briefly with INHERENT PROMISE but was held at bay by the winner. INHERENT PROMISE found position around the middle of the pack three wide, was nudged along through the far turn before coming under a heavy drive at the top of the lane, rubbed with MALBEC briefly before flattening in the final sixteenth. AMBERSSOHN broke outward into rival, trailed along the inside for most, angled three wide entering the top of the stretch to make some minor improvements. TECHNO MUSIC bumped inner foe at the start, raced off the pace in the two path, shifted four wide entering the lane, lacked the late kick needed. HOWITZER bumped outer foe at the start, gave chase along the inside through the first turn, came under a tight rein nearing the three-quarter marker and backed off into the body of the field, began asking nearing the five-sixteenths and shifted out at the top of the lane but was unable to muster a rally. ONE MORE DUKE broke on top and set a clear pace going into the first turn, continued up the backstretch under no pressure in the three path, shifted along the rail entering the far turn and began nudging along, met a bid from CLASSIC EQUATION around the five-sixteenths and gave way, began retreating shortly after entering the stretch.
