Footnotes
MAKTUB settled to the first turn, unhurried while saving ground along the backstretch, navigated traffic and advanced between foes nearing the quarter marker, loomed into upper stretch, closed well while picking off rivals into the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and got up in the final strides for a determined win. SIMO raced close up to the early pace, settled into the backstretch, was well placed while saving ground heading to the far turn, angled off of the rail and bid to upper stretch, took command and led into the final furlong, held a clear lead into the final sixteenth, was nailed for the win in the final strides and held safely for second. ALWAYS TRUE settled while saving ground in the early stages, unhurried along the backstretch, saved all of the ground to the far turn, angled three wide to upper stretch and rallied to the furlong marker, was outkicked into the final sixteenth and was clear in the end for third. CRYPTONYM a bit slow into stride away from the start, was unhurried to the backstretch, advanced outside of rivals into the far turn, swung six wide to upper stretch, could not reel in the leaders into the final sixteenth and found his best stride late. TRY TO MAKE CENTS settled between rivals into the first turn, unhurried along the backstretch, advanced three then four wide nearing the quarter marker, angled five wide to upper stretch, made a mild late bid but needed more in the late stages. MESSAGEFROMTHEKING prominent away from the start, contested the pace into the first turn, ceded the front to J SQUARED into the backstretch and stalked that rival to the half-mile marker, came again to take command into the far turn, kicked clear at the quarter marker, was confronted and overtaken to upper stretch, could not find the needed response past the furlong grounds and faded in the final sixteenth. BOBBY BOB allowed to settle while never far back, chased three to four wide nearing the quarter marker, needed more at mid-stretch and weakened in the final stages. G SPEEDY was forwardly placed to the first turn, tracked the solid pace two to three wide along the backstretch, gave chase into the far turn, could not find the needed response to upper stretch and tired in the drive. PEACETHRUSTRENGTH broke awkwardly and spotted the field to begin, advanced outside of rivals along the backstretch, got caught in traffic three to four wide into the far turn, swung five wide to upper stretch, had no response into the lane and gave way late. J SQUARED sent to contest the early pace from outside of rivals, disputed a solid pace into the backstretch, gave chase into the far turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker, was eased through the stretch and walked off.
