Footnotes
CHINA BLUE settled outside of rivals into the first turn, tracked the modest pace three deep nearing the half-mile marker, roused into the far turn, vied for the lead three deep into upper stretch, battled into the final sixteenth, found more in deep stretch and edged away late to prove best. WINDRUSH took early command and set the pace to the first turn, carved out a modest pace nearing the half-mile marker, showed the way into the far turn then met the bid of DIALITHIC at the quarter marker, lost the lead to that rival into upper stretch, fought back into the final furlong, was outfinished by the winner in deep stretch and held well late for second. DIAMONDS N THRILLS settled while saving ground into the first turn, was unhurried into the backstretch, shifted off of the rail into the far turn, mounted a five then six wide rally to upper stretch, finished well in the late stages and got up in time for third. DIALITHIC ceded the early lead and stalked WINDRUSH into the first turn, attended to the modest pace to the half-mile marker, bid into the second turn and took command at the quarter pole, led into the stretch then dug in when under pressure at the furlong grounds, yielded into the final sixteenth and was outfinished late for the show honors. PEMBERLEY reserved in the early stages, made a steady advance along the backstretch, roused three wide into the far turn, swung four then five wide to upper stretch and gained at the furlong marker, could not sustain her run to deep stretch and flattened out late. SMOOTH CLARET settled just behind the early leader, tracked the modest pace while saving ground along the backstretch, ran in pursuit into the far turn then waited for racing room nearing the quarter marker, was boxed in between rivals to upper stretch, found room nearing mid-stretch, could not find the needed response into the drive and weakened late.
