MISS MARY NELL was allowed to settle off the pace three wide entering the first turn, slowly closed some ground up the backstretch before meeting her cue at the three-eighths and began to advance four wide through the far turn, contested the lead along with three others at the top of the lane, put a head in front inside the sixteenth and managed to hold onto that margin through the wire. FANTASY PERFORMER lacked early kick and trailed along the inside going into the first turn, made steady progress travelling up the backstretch and entered the far turn not too far behind the pace, was cued around the five-sixteenths to split two sets of runners two wide, entered the stretch in contention between foes, fought on for a gamely finish. CANDY QUEST was quickly able to save ground for an inside rating going into the first turn, slowly advanced up the backstretch to be in position to launch a three wide bid around the three-eighths, claimed a brief lead around the quarter before meeting challengers from both sides at the top of the lane, fought on down the stretch for a very gamely finish. OSHALA settled off the pace in the two path, backed off to trail through the far turn, was roused about the five sixteenths and angled out three wide in the upper stretch, ranged close up to the vying leaders but lacked a closing bid. ASHIMA was reluctant to load the starting gate, settled off the pace three wide going into the first turn, trailed around the five furlong marker, began advancing five wide inside the half-mile marker, continued her progress along the outside through the far turn, had little left to make a closing effort after entering the stretch. LETS GO KOKO chased the early pace setter through the first turn two wide, continued up the backstretch under a loose rein to take command inside the half-mile pole, met an outer bid from CANDY QUEST around the five-sixteenths, fought on until tiring in the final furlong. SIMPLY STRIKING found a forward position three wide, began nudging along inside the half in order to maintain her position, managed to hold onto that position through most of the far turn but got swallowed up around the quarter and trailed briefly at in the upper stretch. MINTY showed the way along the inside, met a bid from LETS GO KOKO at the half and gave way to that one shortly after, shadowed the pace through the far turn before being asked at the quarter but had little to give in the late stages.
