Footnotes
LONGBRANCH LOU well placed between rivals, roused two then three wide nearing the quarter marker, vied for the lead into the stretch, took command into the final sixteenth and edged away late to prove best. TICKING sent for the early lead, set a modest pace to the quarter marker, me the bid of NAVY CROSS to upper stretch, shook free of that rival then was outfinished by the winner in the final sixteenth and held safely for second. NAVY CROSS attended to the modest pace along the backstretch, pressed TICKING to the quarter marker then vied for the lead to upper stretch, yielded to the top pair in the late stages and was clear for third. GIVE ME LIBERTY stalked the pace from the inside, lacked the needed response to upper stretch and flattened out late. DOWNING STREET settled outside of rivals, went three to four wide to the quarter pole and did not offer a late response. LOOKIN AT ROSES caught four wide into the first turn, stalked the modest pace while widest along the backstretch, chased four then five wide into the far turn, could not find more into the stretch and weakened. FREDERICKSBURG unhurried early, saved ground into the backstretch, coaxed from the two path to upper stretch, no late response.
