SAYBROOK broke alertly and assumed command leaving the start, contested the early pace outside of COLDSTREAM, shook free of that rival into the turn and set a decent pace nearing the quarter marker, was set down to upper stretch then held a clear lead into the final furlong, dug in while under pressure into the final sixteenth and lasted for the win in the final strides. DREAMS OF MYFATHER settled off of the early pace while never far back, shifted off of the rail and chased the pace three wide heading to the quarter pole, responded well into the stretch then closed fast into the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and just missed for the win, while getting up in time to earn the place. COLDSTREAM hustled away from the start and pressed the early pace, took back and stalked SAYBROOK into the turn, chased two wide into the stretch then re-bid into the final sixteenth, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was outkicked late for second. SWEET CHA CHA rated off of the decent early pace, ran in pursuit two to three wide along the backstretch, angled in and saved ground to the stretch, could not muster the needed late response and finished evenly. NOBLE FISH settled off of the decent early pace, coaxed two wide to the quarter marker and did not rally late. BOY MAGIC broke slowly, lacked early speed and was not a factor.
