COFFEE AT K J'S broke alertly and was sent for the early lead, set a moderate pace while prompted into the turn, shook free into upper stretch, drew clear into the final furlong and kept to task late under steady handling. EVIL EMPIRE tracked the early pace from the inside, went up to chase the pace between rivals heading into the turn, ran in pursuit of COFFEE AT K J'S into upper stretch, could not match strides with the winner into the final furlong and was a clear second best. ONE MORE DUKE was forwardly placed away from the start, went up and pressed the pace outside of COFFEE AT K J'S heading into the turn, kept close attendance to the pacesetter nearing the quarter marker, was turned away to upper stretch, could not keep pace with the top pair into the lane and was clear for third. MORE THERAPY raced close up to the early pace, chased from the inside heading to the turn, got caught a bit in tight and was shuffled back at the quarter pole, was outkicked to upper stretch then weakened in the drive. KEI broke out then was squeezed leaving the start and was off slowly, lacked early speed, trailed to the quarter pole and did not factor in the stretch drive. FINAL PAYMENT off a step slow leaving the start, shifted to the outside of rivals and tracked the pace three to four wide heading to the turn, had the rider lose his irons into the bend, ran in pursuit to upper stretch and did not rally late.
