I LOVE VENEZUELA broke alertly and assumed early command, set the pace to the first turn then was well handled into the backstretch, carved out a moderate pace to the far turn, met the bid of SHOW OFF at the quarter pole then repelled that rival into upper stretch, kicked clear into the final furlong and held sway late under steady urging. SHOW OFF was forwardly placed away from the start, rated just off of the early pace and saved ground to the backstretch, tracked the moderate pace heading to the half-mile, angled off of the rail into the far turn then bid two wide at the quarter pole, was repelled by I LOVE VENEZUELA into upper stretch, chased that rival into the final furlong, could not make headway on the winner into the final sixteenth and was second best. OSHALA settled off of the early pace while never far back, saved ground into the backstretch run and chased from the rail heading into the far turn, tipped out to upper stretch then ran in pursuit of the leaders nearing the furlong marker, needed more into the final sixteenth but ran on late to earn the show honors. TELL ME SOME LIES settled into the first turn, tracked the moderate pace two then three wide along the backstretch, roused three then four wide nearing the quarter marker, chased the leaders into upper stretch, was outkicked into the final furlong then weakened in the late stages. MAGNETIC BEACH broke out at the start and was off a step slowly, recovered and tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, stalked the moderate pace into the backstretch, gave way into the far turn, could not find more into upper stretch and tired in the drive.
