Footnotes
VUELA PALOMA broke alertly and was forwardly placed in the early stages, stalked the pace three deep along the backstretch, went up and pressed the pace three wide into the turn, vied for the lead with CHOSEN FACTOR into upper stretch, dueled that rival into the final furlong, shook free into the final sixteenth and edged away in deep stretch. CHOSEN FACTOR vied for the early lead from between runners, pressed the pace two wide and between foes along the backstretch, dueled into the turn then met the bid of VUELA PALOMA to upper stretch, gamely battled that rival past the furlong grounds, was outfinished in the final sixteenth and was clear of the rest for the place honors. LIKELY PERSPECTIVE (IRE) rated just off of the early leaders, was well placed heading to the turn, chased two then three wide to upper stretch, was outkicked in the drive but ran on late to be clear for third. ORQUIDEA REAL settled off of the early pace, raced outside of rivals heading into the turn, coaxed along two wide to the quarter marker, chased two then three wide into the stretch and did not rally late. CORONA PRINCESS settled off of the early pace, saved ground into the turn, maintained an inside path to the quarter pole and did not factor in the stretch drive. BACK TO GRIDLOCK broke alertly and vied for the early lead inside of rivals, contested the pace from the inside heading into the turn, yielded into upper stretch, was eased through the final furlong and transported off of the course via the equine ambulance.
