BREEZEY BELLA pressed the early pace from between runners then from inside of CANDY BUZZ, took back into the turn and stalked the leading pair heading to the quarter marker, angled three wide and bid to upper stretch, responded well into the final furlong, overtook CANDY BUZZ into the final sixteenth and drew away late while in hand. CANDY BUZZ broke alertly, showed good early speed and assumed command away from the start, set the pace between rivals heading into the turn, met the bid of BLOND JAK and dueled inside of that rival nearing the quarter marker, shook free and led to mid-stretch, was overtaken by the winner into the final sixteenth and held safely at the wire for the place honors. GIMME SOME LUCK was forwardly placed away from the start then shuffled back in the early stages, settled then tracked the leaders two wide into the turn, swung five then six wide to upper stretch, finished evenly but ran on late to be a clear third. BLOND JAK hopped then was shuffled at the start and was off slowly, rushed up in the early stages, pressed the pace three deep into the turn, dueled CANDY BUZZ to the quarter marker then was turned away into the stretch, could not keep pace into the final furlong and weakened in the late stages. FLUFFY broke a step slowly, settled outside of rivals in the early stages, chased three to four wide into the turn, ran on in pursuit into the stretch and lacked a final response. BOLT OF PARADISE allowed to settle in the early running, trailed into the turn, saved ground to the stretch and did not rally late.
