Footnotes
AUTHENTIC WAVE rated nicely off of the contested early pace, tracked from the two path heading into the turn, angled three then four wide nearing the top of the stretch, responded into the drive and confronted TAHLEQUAH past the furlong marker, battled that game rival to the final sixteenth, took a narrow lead in deep stretch and held late to prevail. TAHLEQUAH broke alertly and vied for the early lead from outside of runners, ceded the lead along the backstretch then stalked three wide into the turn, bid at the quarter marker then battled TURKISH PISTACHIO into the stretch, shook free of that rival then was confronted by AUTHENTIC WAVE into the final furlong, resisted to deep stretch and was outfinished in the final strides, while besting the rest. TURKISH PISTACHIO showed speed away from the start and contested the early pace from between runners, disputed the pace two wide into the turn then met the bid of TAHLEQUAH nearing the quarter marker, battled inside of that rival into the stretch, yielded into the final sixteenth and was well clear in the end for third. BETTER WITH VINO stumbled a bit at the start then was put in tight and checked in the early running, settled off of the pace along the backstretch, went widest into the turn and advanced nearing the quarter pole, swung five wide to upper stretch, could not muster the needed response and passed tiring foes late. AFFIRMING tracked the early pace from between rivals, chased two then three wide and between foes into the turn, ran in pursuit to upper stretch, needed more in the drive and gave way. QUALITY OF ESSENCE rated off of the early pace and tracked from the second flight along the backstretch, chased four wide into the turn, angled in to upper stretch, could not find more at the furlong marker and weakened late. RAINBOW LANE bobbled at the start and was off slowly, allowed to settle early on, saved ground into the turn, trailed to the quarter pole and did not factor late. BODACIOUS QUEEN was fractious prior to the start, broke in good order and was sent to vie for the early lead, disputed the pace from the inside heading into the turn, gave way nearing the quarter pole then stopped in upper stretch, was eased through the lane and walked off.
