Footnotes
STEAL SUNSHINE bobbled then was squeezed at the break and was off slowly, settled while saving ground to the first turn, advanced along the backstretch and was well placed along the rail heading to the half-mile marker, gave chase into the far turn, angled three wide at the quarter pole and was set down for the drive, rallied past LURE HIM IN in the final sixteenth and edged away late to prove best. LURE HIM IN broke alertly and took early command, engaged with SWASHBUCKLE into the first turn and contested the decent pace inside of that rival heading into the backstretch, disputed the decent pace into the far turn, re-bid and led to upper stretch, was confronted by STEAL SUNSHINE into the lane and battled that rival to the final sixteenth, was outfinished in deep stretch and was a clear second. LIGHTNING TONES broke in then was shuffled at the start and was off a bit slowly, settled to the first turn then was unhurried to the backstretch, roused past the half-mile marker, angled four then five wide nearing the quarter pole, swung widest to upper stretch and closed into the lane, could not impact the top pair late and held safely for third. AWESOME TRAIN was forwardly placed while four wide heading to the first turn, took back and settled three deep in the second flight on the run into the backstretch, chased three then four wide into the far turn, was caught a bit in tight into the stretch and was outkicked late for the show honors. SWASHBUCKLE sent to contest the early pace, took a narrow lead along the first turn while between rivals and contested the decent pace to the half-mile pole, led while under pressure into the far turn, was overtaken to upper stretch and gave way in the final stages. SINGLE DOT YAHT settled to the first turn, was unhurried to the backstretch then shifted widest and was roused nearing the half-mile marker, chased three then four wide heading into the far turn, was outrun to the quarter pole and did not threaten in the late stages. VIRGINIA CITY raced close up to the early pace, went three deep into the first turn, stalked outside of the leading pair along the backstretch, could not keep pace nearing the quarter marker and tired in the final stages.
