Footnotes
THOUGHT CONTROL was sent to vie for the early lead, took command and set a solid pace into the turn, dictated terms to the quarter marker then kept to task to upper stretch, kicked clear into the final furlong and held sway late under moderate urging. VIKING SUN close up to the early pace while between rivals, got to the rail along the backstretch then stalked the pace heading into the turn, chased THOUGHT CONTROL into upper stretch, could not match strides with the winner into the final furlong and was a clear second best. ESCAPADES settled off of the early pace, saved ground into the turn, got caught in a bit of traffic midway through the bend, coaxed two wide and between foes to upper stretch, could not impact the top pair late and ran on in the final stages to earn the show honors. HOT LEAD (GB) rated off of the solid early pace, tracked three wide heading into the turn, swung four wide for the stretch drive, chased while on the left lead into the final sixteenth and needed more late. VOLTAIC broke a bit slowly, was hustled in the early going and chased the pace outside of rivals heading to the turn, stalked the pacesetter three wide nearing the quarter marker, was outkicked into the stretch then gave way in the final furlong. DEEP DUSK broke out at the start and was off slowly, settled off of the solid early pace, angled three wide to upper stretch and did not factor late. NADIR HAN raced close up to the early pace while outside of rivals, stalked two wide and between foes into the turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker and tired in the drive. CHIEFS PISTOL hopped leaving the start and was off a bit slowly, lacked early speed, trailed to the turn and did not make a late impact.
