DONTSPLASHTHEPOT raced close up to the early pace while four then three wide, took command into the first turn then set the pace to the backstretch, carved out decent fractions to the half-mile pole, kicked clear into the far turn, held sway to upper stretch, drew off through the final furlong and was wrapped up in deep stretch to win as much the best. WITTINGLY raced close up to the early pace while inside of runners, shifted out and tracked the pacesetter two then three wide along the backstretch, chased between rivals into the far turn, was no match for the winner into the drive, dueled ASTIN STYLE for the place honors to deep stretch and dead-heated with that foe for second. ASTIN STYLE settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked the decent pace to the half-mile then was roused to the far turn, bid four wide along the second turn and chased DONTSPLASHTHEPOT into upper stretch, outkicked into the final furlong, battled WITTINGLY for the place honors to the final sixteenth and dead-heated with that rival for second. DEPTH PERCEPTION forwardly placed away from the start, took back and tracked the decent pace into the backstretch, chased three wide into the far turn, could not keep pace to upper stretch and weakened in the drive. BROKEN SOUND broke alertly and vied for the early lead, was keen to the first turn then stalked the pace from the inside into the backstretch, chased from the rail into the far turn, gave way into the stretch and could not find more in the final stages. SHER HAN broke a bit slowly and settled to the first turn, was unhurried to the half-mile pole, saved ground to the far turn and did not factor in the drive. R MARKOVICH got crowded a bit at the start and was off slowly, lacked early speed and trailed to the half-mile marker, outrun to the far turn, was eased through the stretch and walked off.
