Footnotes
HAMMOND raced close up to the early pace while between rivals, stalked the decent pace along the backstretch, ran in pursuit of his stablemate into the turn then was roused at the quarter marker, bid two wide to upper stretch, took command and drew clear into the final furlong, kept to task in the late stages and held safely over the oncoming runner-up. THUNDER CHUCK broke alertly then ceded the early lead, tracked the pace from the inside along the backstretch, ran in pursuit from the rail into the turn, angled three wide nearing the top of the stretch, re-bid into the final furlong, could not reel in the winner into the final sixteenth and was a clear second. RAMMAAS tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, chased three then four wide nearing the quarter marker, was outkicked in the stretch drive but stayed on late to earn the show honors. STRATEGIC RESERVE hustled for the early lead, assumed command and set the pace up the backstretch, carved out decent fractions into the turn then was overtaken by his stablemate to upper stretch, could not find more into the final furlong and gave way in the late stages.
