MARANTA contested the early pace from inside of rivals, pressed into the turn then took command nearing the quarter marker, drew clear while a bit erratic into the stretch, kept to task late under steady urging and drew away in deep stretch. MONEY BATTLE was well placed in the early stages, tracked the pace from the inside heading into the turn, tipped out two wide for the stretch drive, chased MARANTA to mid-stretch, could not make headway on the winner late and was second best. DANCE TO REMEMBER settled away from the start, saved ground to the turn then made a steady gain approaching the quarter marker, ran in pursuit from the inside into upper stretch, was outkicked in the final sixteenth but got up in time to earn the show. WELCOME TO AMERICA (IRE) showed good early speed, disputed the pace along the backstretch then set the pace two wide into the turn, was overtaken nearing the quarter marker, chased three wide to upper stretch, faded in the drive and was outfinished for the show honors. STARSHIP MAXIMUS raced close up to the early pace while between rivals, chased into the turn, coaxed three wide to the quarter marker then ran in pursuit four wide to upper stretch, could not find more into the drive and weakened. BALLYCURRIN rated off of the early pace, tracked three wide to the turn, lacked the needed response at the quarter pole and gave way. IN FACT SHEZA ZASK settled in the second flight early on, coaxed along two wide to the quarter marker, chased to upper stretch and did not rally late. STARSHIP POLARIS lacked early speed, trailed to the turn and did not factor.
