Footnotes
BLACKMAIL sent to vie for the early lead, assumed command to the first turn then set a moderate pace along the backstretch, was pressured into the far turn by RUNNING ON TIME, met the bid of that rival to upper stretch then dug in into the final furlong, fought gamely to the final sixteenth, turned away RUNNING ON TIME in deep stretch and edged clear late for a determined win. RUNNING ON TIME showed good speed away from the start, vied for the lead to the first turn then stalked the pace to the backstretch, attended to the decent fractions to the half-mile marker, pressured BLACKMAIL into the far turn, drew to even terms with that rival to upper stretch and dueled into the final furlong, fought gamely to the final sixteenth, was turned away in deep stretch and just held for second. COACH KAIN broke a step slowly then settled to the first turn, unhurried while not far back along the backstretch, roused four wide into the far turn, chased the leading pair into the stretch, could not muster a final response and just missed for second at the wire, while well clear of the rest for third. RAWAYANA rated just off of the early pace and tracked three deep into the first turn, was well placed to the backstretch run, lost position to the second turn, chased to upper stretch and flattened out in the drive. RAASIL settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked the pace two to three wide approaching the half-mile marker, bid three wide into the far turn, was outkicked into the stretch drive then weakened in the final sixteenth. MASTER CHIEF MIKE rated just off of the early pace and settled along the inside into the first turn, tracked the moderate pace along the backstretch, saved ground to the far turn then checked while in tight at the quarter marker, gave way into upper stretch and could not muster a final response. FORZA AZZURRI was away in good order then took back off of the early pace, settled in the two path into the backstretch run, saved ground to the far turn, lacked a response to upper stretch and did not threaten in the final stages. BLUEBERRYHILLKEKE got squeezed then took up at the start and was off slowly, settled along the inside into the first turn, came under a drive along the backstretch run, coaxed along two wide into the far turn, could not muster a response to upper stretch and did not factor late. MR. FIRULAIS got crowded at the start and was off slowly, settled to the first turn, raced outside of rivals to the backstretch then trailed heading to the half-mile pole, was outrun to the far turn, eased through the stretch and walked off.
