IF NOT FOR LUCK chased the early pace and was four to five wide on the turn and came six wide into the lane and finished well and surged late to get up in time under a drive. READIER tracked the early pace from the outside and made a four wide bid leaving the turn and led by the sixteenth marker but was denied late to just miss. SANTO DIOS (ARG) chased the pace and saved ground on the turn, cut the corner to make a bid and was slowly gaining but needed more. BANNEKER showed good speed from the inside to set the pace while in the two path, came three wide off the bend and dug in by the furlong marker but faded in late stretch. STAR OF THE BEAST was settled early and raced on the inside to the two path on the turn and had a good finish. RETAINED prompted the pace three wide and came four wide off the bend but faded in the final furlong. SULTAN THE GREAT was off a step slow and bumped at the break, chased the pace from the outside and was five to six wide on the turn, came seven wide into the lane but flattened out late. SELECTO was off a step slow and bumped at the start, trailed early and was on the inside by the quarter pole but was not a factor. REVEREND MOON was rated along two wide early, swung out four wide leaving the turn but weakened. WORA was reserved early, three wide into the lane but was not a threat.
