RIPTON'S MUSIC showed the way on the inside and was in hand on the turn while in the two path, came two wide off the bend and was shaken up a bit and kicked away to open up passed the furlong marker and then was under a vigorous hand ride to the sixteenth marker while still well clear and was geared down late to prove much the best. STEP SLOW lunged at the start and was off slowly, moved up the inside to track the leader on the inside, continued to save ground on the turn and angled out leaving the three sixteenths and finished willingly to be clearly second best. VINO'S VALENTINE chased the early pace and made a bid three wide by the quarter pole and came four wide off the bend but flattened out while besting the rest. FOUR BEACH FRIENDS stalked the early pace from the outside and then was in between rivals by the quarter pole two wide and came three wide off the bend and weakened. ARAUCANO chased the pace from the outside and was ridden along four wide nearing the quarter pole, came five wide into the lane but was empty. TEMPERATURE RISING was trailing early and then steadied to avoid the fallen rider nearing the five furlong marker and never factored. THE GREAT EMPIRE clipped heels nearing the five furlong marker and stumbled losing the rider, was caught after the race and walked off. STEWARDS INQUIRY concerning the spill at the five eights marker, after reviewing the replays they disqualified the number three VINO'S VA;LENTINE and placed last for causing the number five to clip heels.
