Footnotes
OASIS PRINCE was settled back early on the inside, then began to unwind midway on the far turn and rider moved out to the two path and then back in by the quarter pole, angled out for racing room nearing the furlong marker and once clear closed full of riun and drove clear to prove best. PEPPERMINT MAN was a bit fractious in the gate, away alertly and rider moved out entering the first turn and pressed the pace three wide, continued on that three wide journey and made a four wide bid leaving the turn to gain a short lead leaving the furlong marker and by the sixteenth marker but was out-finished by the winner while saving the place award. GIURO was reserved early on the inside while well in hand, eased out on the far turn and advanced while still under a nice hold, was blocked leaving the turn and steadied slightly, angled out for racing room and rallied well late to gain the show award. COGNOSCENTI was rated between rivals on the first turn, then moved to the inside on the far turn and came two to three wide off the bend and split rivals while in tight by the furlong marker to the wire while being out-kicked. MESSAGE OF HOPE (IRE) set a pressured pace in the two path, then ROYAL SALUTE made an early bid up the inside to duel for command by the half mile marker and onto the far turn, continued that duel off the turn and then vied for command between rivals by the furlong marker but faded in the final sixteenth. SHARPAZANO stalked the pace four wide and then came under a ride leaving the three eighths marker and chasing the leaders four wide and came five to six wide off the bend and weakened. TWELVE TREASURES was four wide into the first turn, then had an outside pursuit down the backside and moved in on the far turn but had no rally. FROSTED BULL was off slowly, settled into stride, between rivals on the far turn and ranged up four to five wide off the bend, lugged in by the three sixteenths and steadied off heels then weakened. ROYAL SALUTE tracked the early pace on the inside while a bit hard to handle on the first turn, then made a early bid to duel for command by the half mile marker, continued to duel while in tight on the far turn brushing with rival, then cut the corner leaving the turn and weakened in the final furlong.
