HAMMERSTEIN set the pace in the two path, drew clear in upper stretch, switched back to the left lead leaving the sixteenth pole and held safe. KULAPAT raced well back two wide between foes, was boxed in around the far turn, swung five wide in upper stretch, surged between foes and ran out of ground. IRISH GENT (IRE) raced off the early pace four wide, bumped midway around the first turn, was urged along while not making progress three wide around the far turn, angled six wide in upper stretch and rallied through the lane. PARIS SURPRISE saved ground off the pace, got through at the rail in upper stretch, rallied inside but was outkicked late. NAME IT raced up close two wide between foes early, bumped midway around the first turn, tracked inside around the far turn, tipped out in midstretch and finished evenly. CULPA broke slowly, trailed inside early, went three wide around the far turn and never threatened. GENE AND JUDE had early speed inside, steadied near the five-eighths pole and dropped back inside, saved ground in midpack, tipped two wide near the quarter pole and lacked a rally. IRRELEVANT prompted the winner in the three path and tired in the lane. ROYAL BROWNE raced in range three wide between foes, was bumped midway around the first turn, continued in range three wide around the far turn and needed more in the lane.
