TAPPAN STREET bumped with REACH MACHO at the start, pressed the pace two wide, took the lead near the sixtenth pole and edged ahead under left-handed urging. STEPPE set the pace along the rail, dug in inside of the winner nearing the quarter pole, continued on the left lead in the lane, had the rider drop the crop in midstretch, led to the sixteenth pole, held clear of the rest and was transported off the track in the equine ambulance. FLYING LIAM chased the top two three wide, could not gain on them in the lane but kept on to maintain the show. SOLO VENTURI raced in range two wide, angled four wide in upper stretch and lacked the needed rally. SPEAK EASY failed to menace while racing four wide. REAL MACHO bumped with the winner at the start, raced off the pace two wide, swung out in upper stretch and lacked a closing bid. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was retimed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate times.
