IF NOT FOR LUCK settled off the pace three wide, tipped further out in upper stretch, kicked in and won going away. STAR OF THE BEAST raced off the pace four wide and rallied outside to gain the place late. SULTAN THE GREAT prompted the pace in the four path, bid nearing the sixteenth pole but was no match for the winner and lost second late. RETAINED pressed the pace two wide, angled inside of the pacesetter in upper stretch and weakened. BANNEKER set the pace in the two path, continued on the left lead in the lane and tired. OUTLAW COUNTRY trailed in the two path, swung six wide in upper stretch and lacked the needed rally. TORCH IS PASSED chased the pace two wide and faded through the stretch. REVEREND MOON chased the pace from the rail and had no closing bid.
